Aviation has always been very important to me. I formally studied it in college and even began training as a pilot. I served in the United States Air Force. You can bet I am jazzed about National Aviation Week and Day (November is Aviation History Month), if for no other reason than I get to read books and study history about something I love!

National Aviation Week is celebrated the third week in August, the same week as National Aviation Day, which is, also, Orville Wright‘s birthday (August 19th). This is a time to remember the great accomplishments of the men and women who not only dreamed to soar in the skies, but who made it an everyday reality for us all!
