I chose this one because I had no idea what it was. It’s always interesting to top up your knowledge on something you didn’t know existed.

So what is Mahjong? Well, it’s a tile-based game developed in 19th century China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century.

Basically, it is the card game of Rummy, played with tiles and four players. They are a hundred and forty-four tiles divided into three sections and further sets within that. The dice is thrown and whoever has the highest number, is the dealer for that round.

The skill of Mahjong is to score high and outplay your opponent. The game is only finished when every player has been the dealer twice. The winner is the one with the most number of points after all the rounds are played.

If you want to know the finer details, then there is a YouTube video that explains it in full. Having watched it, I think it looks like a fun game.
