Jerrie Mock was the first woman to fly solo around the world. She accomplished this feat in 1964 in a single-engine 1953 Cessna 180, called The Spirit of Columbus. This remarkable woman wrote about her adventures in her book, Three-Eight Charlie: 1st Woman to Fly Solo Around the World.

You can learn more about this American aviator in my #DidYouKnow blog series.
